How much $$$$ do people bring to Hedo III?

We know the resort is all inclusive and no tipping is allowed, but we were wondering how much cash do people bring or need at the resort. We are going for six days.

Are there ATMs, do people spend money on the resort or only if they take excursions?

You will need cash for tips to and from the airport, and if you take excursions, those people are not Hedo employees, so you may want to tip them as well. You can use credit cards for excursions booked through the resort. And if you wish to purchase ganja or any of the wares that people sell on the beach (wood carvings, pipes, art, trinkets), you'll need cash for that. Small bills because they seldom have change. :-)

There is no ATM on resort, or at least not when we left last year. There is/was one at the resort next door. Be warned on credit card usage, all of ours are now charging an extra fee for usage outside the USA, extra cash for our next trip.

We always take $200 - $300 for miscellaneous stuff, but we don't go on shopping trips - be just buy stuff from the onsite vendors.

I usually bring about 500.00 bucks and usually come home with 350.00.Between tipping ,a few drinks at the airport ,restock my 12yr.old Appleton rum supply and some airport food. That's about it for me.I'm done with souviner stuff.
The sand gravity keeps me from spending.

We usually take around $1000, but last year we came back with over half that.

First trip we took $500 US and spent all of it...a couple of excursions...some gifts for kids, coffee for us and assorted souveniers...Used a credit card for a couple of things (didn't have a problem)...second trip sand gravity and only spent about $150...
I would say in about $500 seems to be about right unless you plan on alot of shopping or excursions....remember $50 in ones for assorted tipping, and alot of vendors claim not to have change, so the small bills help te transaction, unless you want the clay ashtray for 3 dollars as your change...lol
