I don't think you will be alone. It looks like there will be 2 groups there durning your stay.

I don't think there is ever a bad time to go. Maybe during a hurricane. Good things can be said for the resort when it is crowded and other good things when it is not. Good things when the rsort is less crowded: easier to get drinks, you get to know the staff, there are plenty of chairs, ditto for towels. And you may just find a close group of new friends...
No worries- the place is never empty though I can sympathize with your wondering about who else will be there- we see this kind of thread several times a year.
I would suggest going to the dennyp travel site and checking out the visitors schedule as well- there is usually a decent listing with email addresses. Send some mail saying you will be there at the same time. You might even make a friend or two before you get there.
